Stamp Show 2000

Royal Mail was looking for a distinctive, secure, gallery-like environment to display the priceless Royal Collection of stamps. A sculptural space was created to cope with the high number of visitors while maintaining a high level of security. The design was based on 2 overlapping ellipses, which encouraged visitor flow and offered a number of routes through the exhibition. We designed a secure locking device for the cases and kept lighting to a minimum to focus attention on the exhibits. The result was an eye-catching structure that was easily visible from anywhere in the exhibition hall.
