The British Council appointed us to rebrand their Schools Online programme.
Schools Online is a central hub of resources and opportunities for teachers in the UK and overseas, building a global digital community for schools interested in international learning.
Our brief was to create a striking new campaign identity that was flexible and that could be consistently implemented across print and digital media.
We presented three concepts, based on the idea of ‘Bring the world into your classroom’ and took forward an illustrative route consisting of icons and characters.
The extensive toolkit of 30 icons brings to life the central themes and key messages, with various character illustrations representing educators and students in different learning environments. When combined with the messaging, the compositions reinforce the ideas of professional development, a love of languages, inspiration and support, and collaboration.
The final identity creates a bold and lively over-arching brand look and feel, and has a broad appeal to educators working at all levels (from support staff to senior leaders) in the UK.
The identity also helps to position Schools Online as an inspirational and practical global resource, build trust in the British Council as an expert in education and amplifies the value of the British Council’s schools offer to UK based teachers.
