WHO Global Laboratory Recognition Programme
A bold and strategic visual identity for a new initiative aiming to unify capacity-building efforts, strengthen public laboratory systems, and ensure health emergency preparedness worldwide.
In a world where rapid response to health crises is paramount, the World Health Organization (WHO) has taken a proactive step by introducing the Global Laboratory Recognition Programme. This initiative acknowledges national reference laboratories that are primed to test and respond effectively to health emergencies.
Collaborating closely with the WHO Health Emergencies and Public Health Laboratory Strengthening teams, we embarked on a mission to craft a compelling visual identity for this groundbreaking programme. Navigating within the established WHO brand guidelines, our objective was to create a signifier and suite of communication materials that would not only align with the organisation’s image but also resonate with a global audience.
Engaging with multiple stakeholders throughout the process, we ensured that the design elements encapsulated the programme’s core mission and values. The resulting visual identity with an identifier marque, communications toolkit, and detailed guidelines capture the programme’s unified framework and amplify its voice in advocating for future implementation, in response to global health challenges.
